Swim South Bay practices at
Presentation High
School
The facility holds a
12-lane, 25 yard by 30 meter pool. The racing portion of the
pool is 7 1/2 to 13 feet deep. There are 2 one-meter diving
boards (not used by BAY) and a shallow teaching area of the pool to
work on stroke correction, turns and building speed. The team
may use the small change rooms located off the deck of the
pool. There is a seperate shower area for both boys and
girls, as well as an outdoor shower for a quick rinse. The
pool is heated by a co-generation unit which warms the water WHILE
producing power for the school. The water temperature is
between 80-83 degrees (even warmer during the summer months when
the sun heats the surface more than the heaters!) The Pool at
Presentation uses a Colorado Timing System, touchpads and a
scoreboard during large meets. For questions regarding the
pool, please contact Pool Manager, Paul Watts
