CROSSGATES (XG) PRACTICE SCHEDULE
WGMS PRACTICE SCHEDULE
OCTOBER SWIMMERS OF THE MONTH: Congrats to Aviv and Finn, our October Swimmers of the Month. Finn is in the JV+ group and “never complains about the set, always pushes himself, and is ready for practice.”
Aviv is in the Varsity group. “She is consistent in her effort and attendance. After three straight weeks of getting a different sickness, Aviv ended up with an ear infection. That didn't stop her from attending practice; she just kicked the whole time! That's up to 2 hours straight of kicking, 6 days in a row. Aviv keeps a positive attitude despite setbacks.”
SATURDAY’S BLOCK PARTY: No pre-registering for events for this final Block Party of the season. Swimmers will select events upon arrival on race day. Once all the RSVPs come in, we will let you know if the swimmers will be choosing two or three events (based on the number of signups.) If your swimmer would like to attend, please be sure to RSVP for the Block Party in advance!!!!!
WINTER REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN: Current members have priority registration NOW through this link. To ensure your first choice group, be sure to register ASAP. Only blue and yellow groups need to register if they are planning on swimming in the new season. Gold, JV, JV+, Prep, Varsity and Senior are enrolled through July 2026.
MAKEUP PRACTICE FOR WG RACE TEAM: Due to the days the pool was closed at Willow Glen, we are adding two Friday practices to the schedule for displaced swimmers. The Fridays, 11/7 and 11/14, are not required, but if your Race Team swimmer can attend from 4-4:45pm, we’d love to have them!
HOLIDAY TEAM APPAREL ORDERS: Since our past orders were so popular, I wanted to offer the opportunity to pre-order this design in a variety of different apparel options. All apparel will be charged to your BAY account and ready for holiday pickup during the week of December 15. ORDERS DUE SATURDAY NOV 15.
PERSONALIZED CAPS: Place your holiday orders for personalized silicone caps by Saturday, November 15. Team store (password: BAY) * Use BAYCAPS2025 code for caps to be delivered to the pool.
LAST CALL- TEAM BACKPACKS: We have TWO brand new navy/white TYR backpacks embroidered with the team logo available for sale. $75 and billed to your team account. These are normally $85 plus tax and shipping on the team website. If you’re interested, email the Swim South Bay office
JUST ADDED: The Candy Cane Classic, hosted by ALTO swim team, will be held at Stanford's Avery Aquatic Center (it's very rare for age group swimmers to get to swim at this facility.) All BAY swimmers ages 12+ with previous "off-site" meet experience are welcome to RSVP. Our team will only attend the Saturday afternoon session. It's a split session meet, meaning we will be in the afternoon session (estimating arrival at noon, but exact timelines will be announced the week of the meet.) Swimmers will be entered in THREE events (chosen by the coaches) and families will be billed a $75 entry fee for this meet. Timers will be required, so parents should be ready to select a timing shift as the meet approaches.
SWIM BINGO: Keep checking those boxes! Once they get their first “bingo” (five in a row), they can show their coach (either their shirt or the printout) and pick a prize from the box. Just one prize for their first bingo. If they earn a “blackout” (complete all 25 squares), then can fill out the form to get some team swag (be sure to read the rules at the top of the form.) Swimmers can write directly on their shirts or use this printable to keep track of their BINGO throughout the season. We will be ordering the blackout team swag every few months so there is plenty of time for all to earn it!
SAFESPORT COURSES: This resource is intended to provide guidance on the various remote Safe Sport Club Recognition online training options available to athletes and parents from home. SafeSport is a grassroots education program designed to help swimmers and parents navigate boundaries and appropriate behaviors.
Training for parents:
Tuesday, November 4 at 5:00 p.m. – REGISTER
Tuesday, December 9 at 5:00 p.m. – REGISTER
